Rosafresca

Carol Attwood – recorders
Heather Gibbard – viola da gamba
Steve Walter (Director) – lute and vihuela

Formed in 2009, Rosafresca brings together four musicians with a passion for Early, Renaissance, Spanish, Moorish and Elizabethan Music. Rich textures and sonorities are recreated by period instruments – lute, vihuela, viola da gamba, recorders, cornamuse, and a range of percussion. With a flexible line up drawing on the talents of guest singers, Rosafresca has appeal for concert-goers as well as enthusiasts of world and roots music. Recent performances have included a recital of music from Shakespeare’s plays at the Red Lodge Museum, Bristol, and an exploration of music from Renaissance Spain and Elizabethan England in a concert for the Totnes Early Music Society.
