Rosafresca brings together five musicians with a passion for renaissance music from Spain, Italy and Northern Europe. Rich textures and sonorities are recreated by period instruments such as vihuela, viola da gamba, recorders, crumhorns and a range of percussion. With a flexible line up drawing on the talents of guest players, Rosafresca has appeal for concert-goers as well as enthusiasts of world and roots music. Recent performances have included a candle-lit evening at St Nicholas Church in Brockley and a lunchtime concert at Victoria Methodist Church, Clifton, featuring music from the Spanish renaissance court of Ferdinand and Isabella.
